Five Thousand Years of History...

Acupuncture has been utilized for thousands of years to stimulate the natural healing response of our bodies. By inserting thin, sterilized needles into specific tissues, a licensed acupuncturist is trained to ease pain and discomfort while stimulating our natural pain killers.

It sounds counter-intuitive, but acupuncture is extremely relaxing. Most people fall asleep in their session, and wake up feeling as if they've been asleep for hours and fully refreshed. This is because one of the known attributes of acupuncture is stimulating your parasympathetic nervous system- the part of you that is responsible for cooling down and relaxing, vs our fight-or-flight mode.

If you are unsure if acupuncture could benefit you, ask yourself the following: "Would making my body sleep easier, handle stress better, and put me into a healing state benefit me?" If the answer is yes, then acupuncture is a good fit for you.

Acupuncture is known to treat:

  • back pain and sciatica

  • migraines and tension headaches

  • digestive concerns

  • anxiety and depression

  • painful periods

  • fertility

  • carpel tunnel syndrome

  • plantar fasciitis

  • insomnia and other sleep disorders

  • allergies

  • sinus congestion
